Hey! So Glad You're Here.
Here are some things you should know about me: I am endlessly enthusiastic about hearing people’s passions. I think that’s what drew me toward academia and library science—every day, I get to hear about the odd and exciting research happening around me. My own research and passions revolve around the production of books and the cultural implications of their creation and dissemination. I focus on the Early Modern period, but I’m also infatuated with all special collections.
As of 2024, I am a MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) student at UCLA, and in 2025, I began working at the Clark Library. Before my time at UCLA, I spent a few years in the corporate world as a graphic designer. I graduated from Chapman University with a degree in English Literature and a minor in Graphic Design. My initial interest in book design led me to pursue this path during my undergraduate studies, and I still love to create in my free time, even though I’ve shifted away from the field professionally.
Outside of the library, I balance my days between my consuming reading habit (shocking, I know), painting illuminations, crafting, and playing cozy video games on my Switch (special favorites include Pokémon and Minecraft). I also enjoy exploring LA’s cocktail scene with my fiancé and spending time with my pets!
Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to learn more about me or my journey. I’m always excited to sit down for a chat—as long as you’re willing to tell me all about the crazy rabbit holes your interests lead you down.
